WEIGHT-LIFTING

Question
hey, since i got a quick and great answer from you last time, here's a another question.
Does weight lifting stunt your growth at the age of 14? cause i want to start lifting weights to get ready for football but I don't want to stunt my growth cause I'm only 5 foot and 7 inches. and I'm hoping to get taller and better so i can get into college football.
please answer back and thanks

Answer
Dear Jordan,
Weight-lifting does not stunt your growth. Use very light weights that way you wont hurt yourself. Be sure to have an adult show you the correct way to lift weights. You will also need him to spot you. A spotter is an adult that watches you do your work-out and keeps the weights from falling on you in case you get in trouble.

Your friend,
Louis
