Football Position Recommendations & Training for Beginners

Hi I am 19yrs old, 5'8" and 170lbs. I bench press 175lb, dead lift 210lbs and squat 190-200lbs. I have a love for football but have never played it. What position would suit me and how can I start preparing for it? Thanks alot.

Hello,

It is hard to pick a position for someone without the privilege of having seen them workout. But just on description, you might fit as a slot receiver. Conditioning is the most important thing right now. Then Start working on the proper catching procedure; hands extended away from the body, in a diamond, catch and tuck the ball away. Then You can start working on running pass routes.
