how to become a coach

My name is Leland and a senior in high school and i want to coach pro football one day hopefully,what do i need to do to get started or is their any advice you can give me on becoming a coach

Leland, it all starts with making connections.  Are you going to college?  Ask to be a student assistant on the football team.  Work real hard, get to know people, and go from there.  

If you don't have that luxury try to do it at your local high school.  Starting out as a high school coach is a great experience and you can learn a ton.  You will also have the opportunity to attend coaching clinics, where you will meet a TON of pro, college, and high school coaches from around the country.  Talk about making connections!!

Lastly, I had the opportunity to work as a graduate assistant at a Division II school in Michigan.  Learned so much, the experience was awesome.

However, I realized that the coaching setting there wasn't for me.  The hours spent at the film room and practice facility away from my family just wasn't for me.  It is best if you try this experience yourself.  Hopes this helps.
