QB Prospect Evaluation: Smarts vs. Athleticism - Scouting Priorities

Question
My name is Collin and I am a freshman and I am currently 6'3" and weigh
about 150. I can't drink milk and I most definetly need to add protein and a
good weight lifting schedule. I would like to find out where I can find good
videos on reading coverages since I play quarterback on the jv. But my main
question is when a scout is looking at quarterback prospects what is higher
on their agendas. Smarts or raw athleticism? I am competing with others who
are more athletic and stronger but they are no where near me when it comes
to football smarts and judgements.

Answer
Become a team leader, first of all, off the field & then on.....You have to earn their respect, then you earn the position.  Ask your coach for a private meeting & let him know your desires, goals, & concerns.  He knows you personally & can offer the most assistance since I do not know you.

Your coach will be honest, forthright, & can challenge you in your lacking areas without embarrassing you & will assist you in getting where you wish to be.  Print this out & share it w/ him.  Trust him to do his job, he gets paid because he is a professional.  After you meet w/ him, contact me back.....

If this has helped please leave a positive rating, if not please contact me back for further info.  Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
