Offensive guard

i am playing right guard this season and its my first time playing this position and most of the defensive tackles are a little stronger then i am how can i win in the trenches with them

    Drake I would advise you to start or keep working hard in the weight room.  But there are ways to help win the those wars in the trenches.  The interior line is all about leverage and positioning your opponent.  LOW MAN WINS, so learn to stay lower than your opponent.  Next be sure to get off the ball a quickly as possible.  You are on offense, you now the snap count the d-fence does not.  Fire off every single snap so that you are engaging the defense up field and not at the line of scrimmage.  Last but certainly not least, if you feel that you are being pushed around and can't drive your man back, use positioning and your opponents momentum against him.  If he beats you to the left then push him left.  Use his own momentum against him.  The running back will cut off your block.  GOOD LUCK COACH NOEL!!
