Switching Positions

Question
Hi,

Im 16 yrs. old a sophmore in high school 5'11 and 170 lbs. I bench 215 and squat
330 and I'm coming from a small school where i started varsity my sophmore year
but now an at a huge highschools and I've decided I have to switch positions
from an Outside linebacker to corner back because of my size and i was wondering
if there was anything i should do to help step my game up and get quicker faster
and jump higher and overall be able to keep up with the wide recievers i will be
facing. I know you are an offensive expert but i was just wondering if you had any advice for my situation
Thank You

Answer
If I were you, I would first go see all of the coaches, and tell them that you were a sophmore starter on varsity at a small school.  Tell them that you are interested in playing corner.  Coaches love to know about your personality, dedication and work ethic.  Make sure you are at every spring and summer work out.  This will show them that you serious about being a starter and a team player.  To answer your question about geting quicker and faster you may want to consider running track.  Good luck!  Coach Noel
