I have a Pflueger Trump No. 1943 Reel and I notice that it is a little different then most Pflueger Trump No. 1943 Reels. It does not have the jeweled end caps and no anti-lash knob. Is older or newer? Is there a Pflueger dating chart available so that I can find out its date of manufacture?

I believe your reel is a later (newer) model, when they were cutting cost on the reel caps and features.
