St. Croix Fiberglass Fly Rod (Red) - History & Value

Rich i recently aquired a st criox red fiberglass fly rod it is an 8 weight rod it is two piece rod with 4 guides on the top section and 1 on the bottom, it is eight feet long i was wondering if you would have any further info on it as to when it was mfg, value etc,

St Croix is in Michigan , in the city with the same name, St Croix.
They still make rods  but probably not fiberglass . I own a graphite fly rod and it is nice.

But don't ask them for value - even if they know  they have to see it or they will send you to a pay for evaluation expert.
They might know the date.

Value -they just don't command the values of bamboo. You might check ebay. The company isn't mentioned in my price book;Antique & Collectible  Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997 (2nd edition 2000) add about 30% for age of book nor the history book, Bamboo Rod Restoration Handbook by Michael Sinclair .

I  am a bamboo man not fiberglass. Fiberglass is just not collected like bamboo. It was made from the 1950s to the 70s.
