Taico fly reel

Question
Mr. Vermillion,
I recently acquired a fly reel and I would like to know if it is worth anything.  The brand is Taico and it was made in Japan.  It's metal and a little rusty but everything works fine.  Nothing appears to be broken.  I found a reel online that looks just like mine and it was made in 1920.  If it's worth something, I don't want to fish with it but if it's not, I'm going to test it out!  Hope you can help.  Thanks in advance for your time.

Answer
Hello

I just got this question in my email, not sure what the delay was. These reels are high production, low cost items - made after WWII. Most of the collector interest is in American and European fishing tackle.

Its value $5-10, so its fine to fish with.
