James Heddon's Sons #125 Fly Rod: History & Value

Question
I inherited a James Heddon's Sons #125 8' 1-3/4 F 3 piece Fly Rod with 2 tips in its cotton cloth pouch and steel tube.  It does not appear to have been used much if at all.  What can you tell me about it.

Answer
David,
I like Heddons even if they were sold at Sears but some guys look down on em.

Heddon History:

(used with permission, Bamboo Rod Restoration Handbook by Michael Sinclair)

Price Book: Antique & Collectible  Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997 (2nd edition 2000) add about 30% for age of book.

Homel gives the Heddon 8 1/2'   model #125 "Expert" trout fly rod  with an extra tip, 3 sections the  value of  $85, 225 and $450 for poor, good, excellent condition respectively.
I sold some unused 125 in 07-08, the 8 1/2 went for 500.
