Dacron Fishing Line

Question
I've always used monofilament fishing line and I recently purchased braided Dacron 80lb test and filled my spool.  I've never used Dacron.  What is your opinion?  It feels like string to me that will be ripped the second a strong strike occurs.  Did I make a mistake??   Thanks....

Personally I do not like Dacron line. I prefer braided line like Power Pro for increased strength and it is smaller in diameter than Dacron. 80# Dacron should be strong though. It should not break easily. IT will not cast as good as the braided lines though which have almost no friction. It is best used for trolling in my opinion.
