Flyrod History

Question
I purchased an Actionglas 1970-7' flyrod at an estate sale. It looks really old. Can you tell me anything about it. Thanks

Answer
Hi Randy,

I believe the Actionglass rods were made by Orchard Industries in Detroit, MI, probably in the 1950s or so.  They were early makers to enter the fiberglass era and their rods tend to be pretty nice.  Value would likely be in the $20-$80 range depending on actual condition of the rods.

Thanks,  Joe
