Vintage Heddon Fishing Pole #40

Hello, I recently acquired a Heddon Pal #40 8 ft. pole, 3 sections and would like to know its value and age. I have been unable to find anything online about it. Also, would like to know what it is made of. Thank you, Paula

Hi Paula,

Your #40 is a fiberglass rod.  Probably produced in the 1950-1975 time frame.  The #40 model was known for a light feel and good casting action.  Value estimated at $30-$75 depending on condition and the interest of the buyer.  I recently sold one in very good condition for $50 with no bag or tube.  The 8 foot length is more desirable.
