Pier Fishing for Mackerel & Bluefish in Florida: Tips & Bait

Hi i'm a southeast floridean too i don't have a boat and its really expensive to rent so i sometimes go pier fishing but i never catch anything. wondering if you had any particular pier you like and basically what bait to use, tips on atraccting fish ect. thanks for your time. fishing is my favorite thing to do but im not that good

Hi Alex, I'm gonna jump you in on a favorite site of mine which I frequent the forums also. Here, you will find Florida fishermen and women who fish piers, jetties, bridges and everything in-between all over southeast FLa. all the way to the keys.These are a great group of guys dedicated to fishing from shore and just like you and I, love fishing. Just sign up (it's free) and jump in the forum. Here you will find what's running around in the water before you ever step on the pier. You can even hook up with these guys and make a new fishing partner.  They also are having a shark tourney, not sure if too late to jump in but give it a try.  I know this site will answer all your questions and I know for a fact you're fishing will improve here.
