Herters RB6 Fly Rod Value & Appraisal - Is It Worth Keeping?

i have a 3 piece ,10 foot fiberglass flyrod made by herters,the model number is rb6y7f,it has a cork handle and aluminum rod seats,its in real good condition.i was wondering what it may be worth and is it worth hanging onto? thanks,steve

There are still people who love the fiberglass fly rods.  They had very nice soft actions.

Every once in a while you hear of one selling for a couple hundred bucks.  But where the rubber hits the road is on E-bay.  There they sell for $40-$80 depending on quality.

Most likely it was made by True Temper.  I believe that St. Croix and Phillipson also made rods for Herters at times.

Is it worth hanging on to, heck ya!  Use it!  They are really tough.
