Best Baits for Catching Muskie and Pike in the Thousand Islands

this August i will be going up to the Thousand Islands in New york. what do you suggest i use to catch Pike and Muskie?

There are many factors which go into a bait selection and even more into success.

For casting, bucktails are always a good bet. White and Silver seems to work best for Pike everywhere. Sometimes in August the Pike are real tough to find because they like cooler water temps.

I would suggest talking with locals, like resort owners, guides and bait shops. You are on the right track to start your homework this early.
