hi  i'm going to be in ft lauderdale from april 14  to 21  do you know of any places that i might be able to catch tarpon from shore  thanks steve

Hi Steve;

 I do not fish in that area and cannot tell you of any specific spots.  When I travel with the intention of doing some fishing, I have found the best place for that sort of local advice is from local sources.  And the best of these is the local bait and tackle shop.  Not the fishing department of some large chain store, but something small and privately owned.  Last year I visited a friend in New Port Richey.  Never having been there before, I used the internet to find some local bait and tackle shops in the area.  A couple of phone calls and I had a very good idea of what, where, when and such about the local fishing.  This gave me a good idea of what to bring and once I got there a quick visit to one of the local bait and tackle shops resulted in detailed directions to the local hot spot for fishing from shore.  I hope this is of some help.
