Identifying & Valuing Stevens 600 Bamboo Fly Rod - Expert Assistance

Question
I just bought a bamboo fly rod, and I'm trying to identify the maker and to find out if it has any value. It is a 3 piece, 8 1/2 foot rod with two tips. The logo says 'Stevens "600"' and has a picture of a rainbow trout. It is also stamped "Impregnated Tonkin Cane". The threads are an olive color. The canvas bag it is in isn't marked. The tube it is in (I have no idea if it is original to the rod) is marked "Peerless A.A.W. CO. Newark, N.J."

Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Clark

Answer
Maybe if I saw the label I could help you more but I have never heard of a Stevens model 600. Both Heddon and Philipson made peerless rods but neither were impregnated  but probably Tonkin cane. Orvis impregnated most of the vintage rods but not all. There is no mention in my books of the Peerless company in NJ except for reels not rods. You probably  have a small makers rod . A quick check of the Internet produced nothing. So without a renown , collectors value will be under 100.
Good luck
