Fishing bass with tubes

Question
Hello,

I am just reentering the world of fishing, having been avid as a child. I have always used live bait or crankbaits, but more and more I see people using tubes and jigs. I'm wondering where I can find some techniques on how to fish with these lures. Specifically, how to crank and move the rod. I don't want to just throw one on and hope for the best.

Answer
Ted, I feel that you will be better off trying one of the other people on All Experts on this one.  While I have fished for bass for over 60 years I have never caught one with a tube.  I have caught a few on jigs but am far from knowledgable on that either.  I am sure that one of the other fishing members of All Experts will do you a much better job than could I.  I would have to be guessing and I certainly wouldn't call that the advice of any sort of experienced fisherman.

Sorry I could not help on this one but thank you for using All Experts and I am sure you will get some good advice if you try someone else.  If you have other questions I might be able to help.
