Fish Identification

Not sure if you can help me or not, but I was wondering if you
could identify the type of fish pictured here:

hmm... that sure is an interesting fish. Never seen one of those before. At first glance, by lookin at the head and lip shape, it looks like some sort of trout, but the body structure really doesnt match the trout i have seen. Also the eyes look very big and black. Trout usually have some color in their eyes. I also thought it looks somewhat like a snakehead fish, but the snout doesnt really match that either. If i was a betting man id have to go with some kind of trout but a species that i have never seen before. Do you have any more pictures of it?. If i could get a top view and maybe some pics with the fins spread out it would give me a better idea. I really would like you to email me again with info on where it was caught, what type of water it was caught in (like lake, stream, river, etc.) and what type of bait was used. This would give me more info to try and see what kind it is. What ever it is is sure is a nice catch. Email me with as much info as you can and ill see what i can do.
