Fly Fishing in Ketchikan

Arriving in Ketchikan Aug 31 - on cruise line but just don't like those canned shore excursions...would love to connect with someone that can point us or take us to a good flyfishing area....supply tackle, etc.....either fly in or drive in - would even consider saltwater fishing but want to make sure where we go it is a good fishing area.....what can you suggest?
So many links I have found on webpage are so commercial - we are very laid back and would just like a quality fly fishing adventure.  If ff isn't a good option, we would settle - if we have to - for some good spincasting - just want to catch some fish!

Understand you are coming by cruise ship.  Your options will be dependent on the length of you ships port call and other variables.
