Rod   Hello Mr. McGaughey
I have an Ike Walton fishing rod that I am trying to determine an approximate value on.
Logo states - IKE WALTON No 3580 9 1/3 ft
         Horricks - Ibbotson Co. Inc. Utica 2 NY USA

After careful inspection, it appears to be wood but you state Bamboo is "flat sided" - The rod is round but it does not look like your typical fiberglass or graphite rod - am I wrong?

Rod is in pretty good shape. very minor tarnish and stains.

Any thoughts or determinations would be appreciated.

Handle is wood- rod is fiberglass. I have seen a lot of them in this color.
Looks to be a boat or surf rod but not fly.
You did not ask for value so if you want it, search all experts and you will see that only bamboo fly rods are very valuable and worse it was made by a company that has a bad rep with collectors.
