Identifying & Valuing Antique Fly Rods: A Guide
Question
I went through my family's fishing rods the other day. I came across a metal fly rod with a wooden handle. There are no marks with the exception of XXXX/75 written on the reel seat. The steel rod is a three piece approximately five feet long.

is the rod collapsible? Also, seems short at 5 ft for a fly rod.
There were lots of manufacturers of steel rods up through the 1950s when fiberglass took hold, so it may be difficult to identify, but send me a photo. Value wise, steel rods are generally in the $10-20 range.
