value of pole

Question
I have a Wright & mc gill fishing pole that has a toughy wright & mc gill square pole, believe it has a 5 on the pole, made in denver, colorado.  dont see anything else to tell how old.  wandering about the value

Answer
Hi Sharon,

Its a square fiberglass 5' from the 1950's.  Its probably pre- Eagle Claw.  In really good shape it may be worth $100.  More than likely it's probably in the $30-$40 range.

That said, I am not the expert on this.  Pose this question to Joe Douglas on this site and he will know more.  Add a picture if you can.  It will help him.

Good luck,

Marc
