Identifying Your Vintage Sport King Model 10B Fishing Reel - Manufacturing Date

I have in my possession from my uncle who recently passed away an open face rod and reel all metal. It has Sport king model 10 B on it.I was curious to see what year this was manufactured.

Sports King is the trade name for fishing tackle sold by Montgomery Wards. They didnt make tackle, just carried other manufacturers items under their name.

I am assuming your reel is a bait casting reel (level winding reel, I would date it to the 1950s.

They were high volume low cost items, so they dont generate much collector value.
