Best Rod & Reel Combinations for Stripers & Versatile Fishing at Indian River Inlet

Kit, I have a 21 foot open bow boat that i will be using at the indain river inlet for striper. I want to by a rod for both myself and my dad. Can you tell me what model and length rod to get and what reel to get. when stripers are not in i will use this to fish fr everything else. I keep hearing about the ugly stick but dont know which one. Thanks Tom

I would agree with the lengths there, although truth be told, rod selection is all about personal preference, selection depends on your fishng style and budget really.

The best advise I can give you is to go to your local tackle shop and test out a few rods, put the reel that you want to use on the rods and see what "feels" comfortable to you...then thats it.

Thats how I choose my rods, and I'm quite happy with all of them.
