Steel vs. Graphite Iron Shafts: Choosing the Right Fit for Seniors

Question
Hello Mike...I recently had my clubs stolen out of my vehicle. The irons were custom fitted to me from Hot stix golf in Scottsdale Az.Needless to say they cost me a small fortune.I had steel shafts and did well with them.
My question is this..I am 62 yrs.of age and in relatively good shape. I will be shopping for a new set and am not sure if i should move over to graphites or stay with the steels. I  ask this only because I am getting up in age and want to make the right decision....Thanks much...Ken

Answer
Ken,

Hate to hear that your clubs were stolen. You say that you did well with the steel shafts. Steel shafts are less expensive, as light as steel and more consistent from one shaft to another. Stay with steel. No reason to change at this point.

Thank you for the question,
