Improving Driver Distance and Launch Angle: Tips for Young Golfers
Question
On my drivers, I usually hit line drives that are average height and go about 200 yards then roll about to 220-230 (i have a lot of roll). I'm thirteen by the way. I was at the range yesterday and I saw some other kids a bit older than me hitting, and they were hitting it so high in the air! Like, all the way to the back fence :o Could you tell me some tips to get the ball that far (or higher)? Thanks!
Answer
Wait until you get older and stronger, to get bthe ball higher you need to make it spin more which means hitting it harder and better. Just look at how low and weak ladies tend to hit drives. Tee it up high and watch it fly, use a high lofted driver or a softer shaft might also help.
