re-shafting my irons

Hi Michael, I was given a set of mizuno mp30 but with Stiff shafts (DG S300). However, I have a set of old Taylormade 320 series fitted with R-80 rifle flight, constant weighted shafts. Is there a chance I can have the R-80s fitted into my mizunos? DG shafts are tapered with 0.355 tip diameter and the R-80s are paralle with 0.370 tip diameter. Your help are greatly apprecated. This question is a good one. I'll tell you my feelings and what I know in this area. In a good quality set of clubs, the weight of the shaft and the weight of the head are matched according to the stiffness of the shaft. It is precisely done. Do the R-80's match the Mizuno heads? Probably not. If it were me and I was curious enough, I would reshaft the 5 Mizuno iron, hit it and see for yourself. If you like the feel, the ball flight and the direction in which you hit it, reshaft them all and play with them.
