how to take my game to the next level

Question
My name is Justin and I am 16 years old. Within a year I would like to compete in a few amuater tournaments. My question is how to get in them. I would also like to know if there is some kind of a personal trainer that could help me with any part of my golf game. My best score is 12 over par on a 6500 yard par 72 course.

Hello there and you for asking.  I understand what you are
asking, and using a trainer is a good idea, but not necessary.  As far as getting in amateur tournaments, you can simply go to your local golf course and ask them for some information about that.  They may even host a few. But first you should read some of the relevant FAQ's

- Distance hit with driver, 5 iron, SW
- Avg putts per round
- Avg and preferred ball flight depending on club
- Tournament experience if any
- Hours you do/can dedicate to golf improvement every week
