Alternative Paths to PGA Tour Qualification: Beyond Q-School

Scott, I was wandering if there were any other ways than Q School to gain PGA Tour status. I was under the impression that it was possible to earn your card on the Nationwide Tour so what exactly is the Nationwide Tour for?

The Nationwide tour is the feeder system for the PGA Tour and in order to play on the Nationwide Tour you need to go to PGA Tour Q School. Depending on what you shoot at Q School determines whether you can play on the PGA Tour, have exempt status on the Nationwide Tour or Conditional Status on the Nationwide Tour or not qualify at all.
