Obstructions

Question
A groundskeepers' tractor is parked in the middle of the fairway.  The tractor has stalled and may not be moved.  My ball lands directly behind the tractor.  My stance and swing are NOT affected.  Only my line of flight is blocked.  Do I get relief, because the tractor should not have been there, or must I play it as it lies.

Thanks Kim,
Lori

Answer
Hi Lori,  I do not have the exact rule but will find it.  The answer is yes you would get relief,  same as Tour Professionals get line of sight/flight relief for TV towers and grand stands,  it is a TEMPORARY OBSTRUCTION.
if you want the rule number e-mail me on my website www.walkersgolfventures.com and I will get it for you. Even if you do not,  look at the site,  it is a fun site with great music!
Have a great day!!!!!
Kim
