US Nationals

Me and my son went to see the US Nationals. It was amazing seeing the high level divers in person. We thought David Boudia would have been there since he was on the prequalified list. Do you know why he didn't come this year?

This past summer season was a little different than most because the FINA World Championships were held last month in Barcelona. US Nationals are always held in August and serve as a method to select a National Team for international events. This season, USA Diving held a World Championships Team Trials in May to select a group to represent the US in Spain. Since the National Team was picked then, this past Senior Nationals in Iowa served as a qualification event for Winter Nationals in December. Since David Boudia is pre-qualified to this Winter Nationals, he took the rest of the summer off after getting the silver medal on 10M in Spain.

Look for him to compete in Austin Texas at Winter Nationals in December at the University of Texas. More info at usadiving.org.
