Best swim and dive complexes

Question
Hi , I am aware of the Ft. Lauderdale International Swimmers Hall of Fame Aquatic Complex and the Coral Springs Aquatic Complex. What I really love about these places is that there are several pools all next to eachother . A while back I swam a the Ft. Lauderdale place and I think I was actually able to watch the divers as I swam . This was wonderful !!  Not sure if they have "therapy" pools or "warm up /cooldown " pools set at warmer temperatures but I am looking for a place similar to these but in the San Diego , California area . I found one in/near San Diego that had the warmer "therapy" pool at 25 yds. I think it was also right near Coronado Beach which is also wonderful to be right on the sea as the Ft. Lauderdale Swimmers Hall of Fame Complex is . Are there any spectacular , multi-pool comlexes with lots of dive boards/the big platform dive unit near San Diego that you can recommend with maybe 2 50 meter pools , 25 meter pools , therapy pools , acclimation pools , hot tub/jacuzzis , multi type/height dive boards/platforms open year round in Southern Califirnia ??  That are as good or better than the 2 in Florida. 1) Coral Springs 2) Ft. Lauderdale .I sincerely appreciate your interest in swimming and diving as it is a truly magnificant and fun way to keep healthy and fit for our entire life. By the way I am only interested in the outdoors aquatic complexes . Hope to hear from you soon , regards , Klaus

The only aquatic center I am familiar with in San Diego is found on the campus of San Diego State University. They only have springboards as there are no platform facilities in that city. Just Google "Aztec Aquaplex" for more information. There is also a place called the Misssion Bay Aquatic Center but it is for other aquatic sports like wakeboarding etc.

Southern California is the outdoor swimming pool capital of the world. All the pools you describe are found north of San Diego in Orange County and LA. The next closet pools to San Diego that have what you are looking for are in Mission Viejo and Laguna Nigel about an hour away.Just go to www.usadiving.org, click on 'Join USA Diving' and then 'Find A Club'. Enter CA and list of diving teams will come up. Contact them for more information on how you can use their pools. There is a very nice swim center in Pasadena you will like at the Rose Bowl Aquatic center.

Another website that will help you is www.swimmersguide.com. Follow the instructions to find pools in California and anywhere else in the world. You will certainly find something you like.

Have fun in the sun.
