Question
my daughter has been training hard all season and making good times during training. She however, is not performing at meets the times she swims in practice. What might the problem be?

Answer
There may be a few minor problems that might have caused her performance to plunder during meets. One of them might be fatigue. She could be tired from working excessively and not having enough time to rest and heal her muscles. On top of that, she could be experiencing some stress and nervousness. Stress is normal for swimmers but it can definitely affect their overall performance during meets. These two factors may be what is contributing to her performance. However, These are just general assumptions and seeking further professional could help even more. You should tell your daughter to talk to her coach about what she is experiencing and perhaps they could figure it out together. I hope this has helped at least in the slightest bit. Good luck!
