Toddler Swimming Lessons

2016/7/15 11:59:41

Question
Have a 4 yr old, just started swimming lessons yesterday, loved the first day, now 2nd day, says she is scared. Had to be carried out of pool by instructor. Instructor said we can either switch to a class where Mom or Dad are involved or she can continue with her in this class and she WILL learn to swim, possibly with her sitting out parts of the class if she is disrupting others. What do you think? We do not have a pool at home, so working with her out of class would be difficult. She was so excited and seemed really interested since we signed her up 6 weeks ago...now, not so sure. This is a class sponsored by American Red Cross.

Answer
I agree with the instructor and I hope everything worked out. I must personally appologize to you. I ended up in the hospital with an emergency induction for my baby.

If the lessons didn't work out please let me know and I will be happy to give you some pointers to get her started in the right direction.
