can not float

Question
George:
I have just completed my first sprint triathlon, and really enjoyed the experience.  For the swim, I wore a wetsuit because I can not float - (it helped immensely).  Water temperature restrictions may prohibit me from using the wetsuit in the future as I enter additional tri's.  Any training or technique suggestions you may recommend to help me stay on top of the water (I am a rookie swimmer)?  When I don't wear wetsuit, I feel like I am fighting to simply stay on the water.
Thanks.

Ed--
I agree that the wetsuit helped you float, they are very bouyant, but if you are to get faster with the swimming it is best to not use them as they can be very constrictive with your motions.  The best I can offer is for you to work on your endurance with your training.  You really shouldn't rely on floating during your race, it slows you down.  Like I said, work on your endurance and, also your stroke technique to improve your ability to swim faster longer.
Hope this helped,
George
