hey coach,
I'm a senior wrestler at the 119 class.
i go to a morning swim class two days a week in the morning. Do you think swimming is an effective method to get your body in shape for wrestling. Thanks

Hey Matt,

What's happenin? Thanks for your interest! I believe swimming will be very beneficial to you. (Navy SEALS) The resistance and the cardio you will gain from swimming will be significant. I used to spar Greco-style in water up to my waist. You can be very creative in the pool. 500 yard with the kickboard will definitely improve your stamina. Underwater swimming will obviously improve your breath control which will definitely come in handy when you have an overtime match.
