Any tips on countering moves?

Question
Yeah... I'm back with a question about countering moves. How could you get out of a half- nelson as quickly as possible, being the person on the bottom (half- nelson is the only term I know it by, sorry). And how could you get out of a headlock or avoid it? I seem to get pinned a lot by one of my teammates with the headlock. And is it normal to begin working out and gain five pounds in about two months? Thanks

== Half Nelson ==
--------------------------------
\\ Pros \\
- hard to counter when its in

\\ Cons \\
- Easy to dodge or prevent
- Low chance to hit

\\ Prevention \\
- If opponent starts to put the half on, immediately look away and crank your elbows towards your body
- The goal is not for your opponent to get the half in deep
- Adjust body and move away from the half (crawl up or down if necessary)
- You must have mat awareness and feel to prevent this move

\\ Counter \\
- If the opponent has the move on there is only a few options to avoid getting pinned.
- Bridge up with your head turn in towards your opponent and once you feel enough pressure; turn away and flip him over

--------------------------------
== Headlock ==
--------------------------------
\\ Pros \\
- A desperation move, can turn the match around
- Once hit, can either be a pin or a 5-pt throw
- Somewhat low-medium percent chance to hit

\\ Cons \\
- Easily countered

\\ Prevention \\
- Must stay in a good stance
- If your opponent is battering your head, that means hes waiting for you to pop up and hit a headlock.
- If opponent constantly assaults your head, immediately pop their elbow up and lower your level and shoot a double leg
- You must circle away from your opponent
- You can only prevent this move to as far your opponent locking your head but not creating leverage with his hips
- Avoid his hips to be close to your hips so he won't be able to throw you

\\ Counter \\
- When you expect your opponent to hit headlocks, go for a duck under.
- If by chance he manages to lock your head; as soon as your opponent touches your head with a lock, pop your elbow up towards his on the same side and duck your head for a duck under.
- If opponent manages to grab your head; never let your opponent's back face you. You must make sure you are at least to his side in order to avoid being thrown.
- There are many advanced techniques to countering this move such as when your opponent is about to throw you, bodylock him by his hips and throw him instead.
- Other counters is when he manages to lock your head, put his hips in and throw; as soon as you land lock your hands to his body and use the momentum to throw him over

The half nelson is a very dangerous move hence why its so popular. Wrestling is all about evolving and adapting. New moves are introduced because older moves are used too often that a wrestler becomes literally immune to it. A half nelson is so easily prevented that the worst the opponent should do is attempt to try to put it in.

The headlock on the other hand is quite a higher percentage chance to hit move than the half nelson. Its really easy to hit a headlock on an opponent, but its hard for the move to work. So many counters such as your opponent rethrowing you are using your momentum makes this move almost useless in high level competition.

I noticed you were a girl and I apologize for writing "him" instead of "she" or whatever gender your opponent is. I am used to writing to male wrestlers.
