Blue also has qualities of water. Blue color gives a sense of peace and coolness. It makes the pool look serene and cool, which makes it one of the most common pool colors. There are many shades of blue that you can choose from. Every manufacturer makes their own shades of blue. There are shades of light pale blues, to bright blues, grayish blues, to dark and deep blues. So, if you don't want to go wrong, then go with the classic swimming pool paint color - blue!

Besides blue, other two popular swimming pool colors are white and black. These two colors are used as pure white and pure black. However, many people prefer to use their shades which are off-whites and grays. Black swimming pool can symbolize elegance, however, it can also symbolize darkness which can be very unappealing to kids and people who want to go for a swim to relax. But, if you want to throw pool side parties then you can consider black. Make sure you make the pool area look more elegant with sound lighting and other patio decor. Gray is a better shade of pool color. As it can also symbolize elegance like black, but at the same time it can render a balanced look, and can be made inviting to kids.

White color for pools is rarely used. In fact, the white colored pools you see are actually off-white in color. Off-white pools are generally a very light beige or brown color. Off-white shades give a sense of tranquility and purity. So, these are also good colors for pools. But, the lighter the color of the pool, the more frequent the cleaning of the pool will be. Because, on light pool colors dirt and grime is very easily visible.

There are many other unique colors of the pools which you can use as well. There is dark sand yellow color which is like a medium beige. There are few greens and blue-greens too. There are also shades of sap green, which are between brown and green. In nature, at some places water appears to be a shade of bright green. So, if you want you can choose this color for a pool too. This is the next best and safe choice of pool color after blue. Because, green symbolizes nature, balance, harmony and health. This makes it inviting to people of all ages.

You can choose epoxy water based pool paint colors. If you want to keep the pool surface skid-free, then mix the paint with a non-skid additive before you start painting. So, choose the right color and shade of paint, and a quality manufacturer. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on how to prepare the pool surface, and then start painting the pool surface in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. If you have concrete patio, then consider painting it too and plant some colorful plants near the pool to brighten up the place.
