Swimming is one favourite sport in hot summer. Recently, cases of pinkeyes are significantly increasing, which has something to do with public swimming pools. Waist and neck joint sprains also occur for lack of warm-up exercises before swimming. Some people like to drink some spirits before the water. Is it right? Here are some notes that we should pay attention to before swimming.

Long-time swimming may cause spasm

Some swimmers stay half a day in the water and will not realize it's wrong until they have goose bumps and start shivering. Generally, there are 3 cold stimulation stages to skin. First, when someone enters into water, skin blood vessels would constrict and skin would look pale stimulated by coldness. Second, blood circulation will accelerate and inner heat will increase some hours later hours when pale skin turns from pale to pink. Third, staying in water too long will cause purple skin, black lips, body shivering and even spasm, as body heat is less than dissipating heat and thermo-regulation is destroyed.

Drinking beer while swimming?

It sounds an good idea. In fact, it is not a healthy way at all. Drunken swimming will consume much reserved glucose and cause hypoglycemia. Alcohol can also restrain normal physiology functions the livers and can hinder body conversion and reservation of glucose, causing hypoglycemia symptoms, such as palpitations fatigue, nausea sweating etc. Meanwhile, alcohol can affect brain's judging ability, which will increase the risk of accidents. Thus, it's better not to drink alcoholic beverage during swimming.

Bad digestion after swimming.

People will get very hungry after swimming and some of them can't help having food just coming out of pools. Actually, they should take some food in half an hour after swimming, their stomach would bear much burden suddenly and have digestion diseases.

Though swimming is one best water sports that benefit wellness, we need to have some notes by heart to prevent unexpected dangers.
