Question about Fullbacks

Question

Me
Hello there!

Im a 21 yo Mexican playing football for Borregos of the ITESM at campus Tampico and Cuervos from the commerce school from Tamaulipas University, I played my last season on feb-march and im currenlty unactive, Some days ago i recived a phone call from my coach back at Tampico (Im currenlty living in another city, and im coming back to Tampico on January) that he needed a fullback in the team, and he wanted me to be that fullback, I only know about beeing a halfback, its the only position i have played since I joined the team (2 years ago). Now that you know a lil' bit of my background my question is:

What do i have to train to gain that extra power on my legs and body mass to evolve from a halfback to a fullback, I will be a blocking fullback.

Im 1.72 meters tall and i weigh 74 kilos, I dont know how much that is on the english system (feets and pounds) hehehe as you may notice im Mexican :)

Thanks for your time!

Answer
The single biggest thing that you can do to improve your overall body stregth is lifting weights.  I would lift at least 3 to 4 days a week.  Concentrate on doing leg press and squats to improve your leg strength.  Also be sure to lift a lot on the bench press, incline bench, and decline bench.  GOOD LUCK COACH NOEL!  have a great season.
