playing qb

Question
i want to try out for quarterback for my junior high team. but theres a kid who can throw farther than me. i work out, especially my shoulder and core area. and i throw all the time. im 5'9" to 5'10" and weigh 140 to 150 lbs. so do you have any suggestions on what i should do. also football starts in a month.

Answer
All I can suggest is working as hard as you can at being the best qb as you can.  Be positive, be a leader and focus on getting better.  Even if you don't become the starter always be ready to go.  You are only one play away from being the starter, always remember that.  Last year my team changed starter's after the second game of the season.  That kid went on to be an all city QB.  So be ready and work hard.  GOOD LUCK COACH NOEL!
