when is rugby season in the USA? when do teams start practicing? how would i find games or practices in my area...california? how would i find a local team in california?

The pre season starts about now. Practices start and there may be some non-league warm up games. The true game season doesn't start until mid january.

You still want to make pre season though just to get familiar with the team, game and fitness.

Which part of California are you in? You can go to USA rgby or simple google "rugby"  in your area. Most teams have a website.
