Identifying a glass steelhead rod

Question
I have a 9' fiber glass fishing rod with the following code:
2C23MC.  No other identification on the rod.  It was my great-grandfather's steelhead rod which was given to me.  I was told it was a "Jim Green" fishing rod.  It is green in color with real cork handle.  Can you tell me an approximate date of make and model?
Thanks.

Answer
Hi Gene,

I don't feel qualified to answer this because you could have something special here.  Jim Green was one of the pioneers of Fenwick.  I am guessing late 1950's.  Please run this past Joe Douglas on this site and some digital photos would help him. This could be a very interesting piece of history.  Good luck.

Marc
