Actionrod 4686: Identifying & Valuing Vintage Bamboo Fishing Rods

What is this rod worth? It is an actionrod 4686 I beleive to be bamboo.It says actionrod custom made hch-d. Thanks Scott.

Hi Scott,

Orchard Industries made an Actionrod.  I believe that Gephart Manufacturing Company also made an Actionrod.  Both of these companies made rods in fiberglass and steel, but I am not aware of either of them making any rod in bamboo.  Many fiberglass rod makers used a faux bamboo paint job to make their rods look like bamboo rods.
