hello my name is tommy i have a jchiggins pisto grip rod and a shakespere maryoff the reel wuz made in 1964 the rod i dont no when it wuz made i am trying to find out how much they are worth if you can help me i would be grafull thank you

Hi Tommy,

The JC Higgins was sold by Sears.  It was probably from the similar era in the late 50's or early 1960's.  Unfortunately, they were popular reels and rods and there are a lot of them out there and not sought out by collectors much.  I would say that each item may be worth $30-50 and e-bay would be the place to watch to see the true market value.

That all said, I am not the best collecting expert here on this site.  I would suggest posing this question to Joe Douglas on this site.
