Slipping Split Shot

Question
I am new to fishing and have trouble with my split shot weights sliding up and down my line. I crimp them well and still they slip. Can you suggest anything? Thanks.

Answer
Geoff; I am at a loss looking at this question.  I have never had a split shot slip on me.  I do not know what kind of splitshot you are using nor the kind of line.  I can imagine there might be some problem if you are using one of the slick braided lines but with monofilament they should hold if clamped down tight.  I have never tried using a tungsten split shot they might be different but lead is soft and should hold if you clamp it tight with a pliers.

I really cannot think of any other situation that would cause your problem.  Sorry, but I just do not know what else to tell you.
