Sorry, I don't know much about old spinning reels so I'm not much help on this one.

You might try searching the internet for a discussion group that deals with vintage spinning tackle or Martin reels. I'm sure there are some out there. Usually, the guys on those discussion groups are more than willing to help identify old gear.
