Info about vintage fly rod

Question
Rich,
Hi! I'm writing for my Dad.  He has a Hinduvine Trademark DE vintage fly rod.  He is trying to find out more information about it including how much it is worth.  I've tried to do some research on the web, but I've not come up with much.  The rod has I think a cork handle, no reel, measures 7' 3", and has the  original tube that the pieces fit into.  Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

Michelle

Answer
Michelle,
Have not heard of the model nor maker name, Hinduvine .
That means collectors have probably not heard of it either and there is no market.

Pictures to [email protected] and I can tell by looking if is Japanese and therefor worthless.

If I had to guess it was purchased by a person in the armed forces from Japan or there abouts.

Is it bamboo ? fly or casting rod ? check metal for id and patents ? What is it made of; bamboo ( flat sided) fiberglass or graphite ( round)? Weight in oz? What is the diameter of the rod above the cork? Where was it purchased ? What type of metal nickel-silver, tin, or chrome platted brass? A complete description of any logos or labels. Length of rod per section and number of sections. Total rod length. Reel seat is below or above the cork handle ?

Luck,
Mac
